Mad About Fragrance

I am completely obsessed with fragrance, I love a smell that you get addicted to, I love that smells remind you of people, places and memories, I love perfume that leaves a mark and adds to your personality and I also love the pretty bottles. My personal preference is a long lasting strong scent, either oud like, or fresh and clean. So I thought I would share with you my most favourite smells…

Le Labo – Santal 33

This was a recent discovery that I smelt on someone else and became obsessed with, that’s how I personally like to find my next smell best. Le Labo haven’t been around forever, their branding is very urban and simplistic, they have counters in the high end stores as well as being online. They also make up the fragrances per customer in front of you, I do love purchasing something that has a special touch, this ones on the list. – Need now!

Notes include: Cardamom, Iris, Violet, Australian Sandalwood, Cedarwood, Papyrus, Ambrox, Leather Accord and Musk.

Louis Vuitton – Mille Feux 

A fragrance I sniffed out in the Louis Vuitton concession in Harrods I took away a sample and fragrance stick and held it under my nose all the way home. Before I knew I was attached and I had to have it, luckily this arrived on my dressing table as a present, the gift wrapping and box was just divine! This has a strong woody smell and I don’t think it smells like anything I’ve smelt before, once I’ve sprayed it I can smell for days after in my clothes or make up brushes – I like that!

Tom Ford Faves – White Suede, Santal Blush & Black Orchid

White Suede to me just smells so clean like fresh linen and that is why i love it 🙂 – Need now!

• Notes: Musk, rose, amber

Santal Blush is spicy and woody but feminine, mysterious and exotic, just gorgeous. – Need now!

• Notes: Sandalwood, spices

Black Orchid is a famous scent, you know it when you smell it! The Jasmine hits you first followed by the stronger notes, definitely a fragrance to leave it’s mark.

• Top notes: Jasmine, Gardenia, Blackcurrant, Lemon, Bergamot, Mandarin, Tuber
• Heart notes: Orchid, Spicy notes, Fruity notes, Lotus
• Base notes: Vetiver, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Incense, Amber, Chocolate, Vanille

Jo Malone Faves – Pomegranate Noir, Velvet Rose Oud, Bergamot Oud, Peony Blush Suede, Honeysuckle Devana

To be honest there’s not many Jo Malone fragrances I don’t like actually but these are the ones I truly love. I love the bold British branding and style of the bottles, I also read the Jo Malone Autobiography which also made me love the brand more. I can honestly say I’ve always received fantastic service and the gift wrapping is so beautiful!

This is my personal collection all engraved with my initials, hurry up new home i need somewhere to display my pretty bottles!

Pomegranate Noir I smelt on a family friend around 10 years ago and have been obsessed ever since, it’s fruity but extremely distinctive.

Velvet Rose Oud I also smelt on a friend a few years back and had to have it, its an Oud with a little floral.

Bergamot Oud the stronger oud fragrance that is gorgeous alone or layered with something floral / fruity.

Peony Blush Suede is that gorgeous clean linen smell that i love!

Honeysuckle Devana is the newest one and a little sweeter that i usually buy but i fell in love with it instantly, Jo Malone have a way of smelling like something you have never ever smelt before.

Creed Aventus for Her

After Creed for men blew up our shelves they had to do something for us ladies and I believe it’s just as amazing! Such a strong evening feminine and fresh scent, Opulent and sensual, this fruity floral scent opens with accords of crisp green apple blended with fragrant pink pepper and sparkling Calabrian bergamot. Aventus for Her blossoms into a magnificent floral heart of dewy rose, exotic sandalwood with a irresistible base of amber, ylang ylang and peach. Basically it’s the nuts!

Molecule 01

A fragrance that is distinctive yet not heavy, it actually reminds me of rich wealthy women in Mayfair lol. It’s has a reputation for being a fragrance you aren’t able to smell on yourself and smells different on everyone, yet it gives off such a lingering scent that is so different to anything else available and I love it especially for not being too heavy. Some of my most favourite fragrances aren’t ones i want to be doused in first thing in the morning, yet this is good for Morning, Noon and Night.

Louboutin Faves – Bikini Questa Sera & Trouble in Heaven

I’m a HUGE Louboutin Fan and believe it or not in 2016 I was invited in for a meeting with Louboutin as a keen customer to discuss the brand and what i would like them to launch next,  after answering numerous questions about the shoes, visuals and collections in the Dover Street store, I was asked to write my wishes in a letter to Mr Loubi himself. My wish was for a fragrance, and they launched 3 just 6 months later, not to say my meeting and the launch were anything to do with each other just coincidence but it certainly makes it special for me. So of course i went to the launch and was the first to purchase it in store. Louboutin have always given me incredible service and before i was being a grown up and purchasing my first property all alone, I spent a lot of time buying shoes in Louboutin, in which they gifted me a bottle of fragrance of my choice for Christmas, I even got 2 due to contacts in not 1 but 2 stores lol buzzing!!!

So my faves are the Bikini Questa Sera which is the fresh scent.

All Loubi fragrances come in an oil too if you love a very long lasting, powerful smell.

I really need to try Acqua Di Parma fragrances as I hear so much about them, so I shall update if I fall in love with one!
